Centria University of Applied Sciences (Centria) offers practically oriented studies that combine education, research, and real-world experiences, laying a strong foundation for both learning and future careers. Students can pursue degrees in business, engineering, and nursing, at both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
All our degree programs are designed to equip students with the skills and expertise needed for a successful career. At the Bachelor’s level, studies begin with basic courses that help build a solid foundation for the specialized skills students will develop throughout their program. Over the course of 3.5 to 4 years (depending on the programs), students study mostly in small groups, learning by doing and applying knowledge in real-world projects and internships with companies. At the end of their studies, students complete a final thesis, allowing them to focus on a specific area of interest and contribute to industry development. Students also have opportunities for exchange programs at partner universities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
At the Master’s level, programs focus on enhancing students’ expertise, building on their previous work experience, and helping them advance to the next stage of their professional journey.
Centria has three modern campuses on the western coast of Finland, with Kokkola as the main campus, where most international students study.
